Tom Abraham brings to elemental deep experience in design leadership and education. His work includes the design and management of a wide variety of projects, ranging from institutional facilities and commercial interiors to single family and large scale residential projects and object design.
Mr. Abraham complements his leadership at elemental with a continuing commitment to architectural education. Mr. Abraham has been a guest critic at numerous academic reviews, has taught at The City College of New York School of Architecture and served on the faculty of New York University College of Arts and Science.
Twice invited to Italy for A.A.R.C. Academy’s ideas design competition, Mr. Abraham has had his work exhibited at the Fondazione Vittorio Mazzucconi & La Triennale di Milano, Italy as well as at The Cooper Union. Mr. Abraham was also selected to participate in the Emerging New York Architects mentee program by the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. In 2011, Mr. Abraham was named to ENR New York’s inaugural “Top 20 Under 40” citing his contributions to the wider understanding of sustainability and the built environment and for his work in advancing these ideas through digital media.
A graduate of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, Mr. Abraham is licensed to practice architecture in multiple states and is a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council. Prior to his education in architecture, Mr. Abraham was a certified Emergency Medical Technician and served as a first-responder.
